Three New Border Checkpoints Between Bulgaria and Macedonia to be Opened Next Year

Skopje. Three new border Ccheckpoints between Bulgaria and Macedonia will be opened next year, BNR announced. The checkpoints will be between Berovo and Stoumyani, Pestevo-Simitli and delcevo-Kyustendil, the Bulgarian and Macedonian transport ministers Petar Mutafchiev and Mile Janakievski decided at their meeting today. The projects are ready, the places are agreed. The checkpoints will be necessary since Bulgaria becomes EU outer border. The both ministers agreed also for three airlines between Sofia and Skopje, between Sofia, Skopje and Ohrid and direct line between Ohrid and Varna. Other priority of the talks was the construction of the railway and road infrastructure of Corridor 8.
