Harassing Macedonians is Being Tolerated in Sofia

Sofia. ‘The questioning of 6,000 members of OMO Ilinden – Pirin by Bulgarian police continues. The Bulgarian society is mainly on the side of the government and there is barely anyone to publicly condemn the harassment on Macedonians, the Macewdonian daily Utrinski Vesnik reports.
In contrast to the reactions of Macedonians, who say that Bulgaria wants to destroy they party by the checks, Iliana Slavovska, prosecutor from Sofia said that there was no pressure from Bulgarian authorities on OMO Ilinden – Pirin members. According to Slavovska, there were serious violations of the registration procedure and that was the reason for her to plead against the registration of the party.
