Police clarifies Skopje's double murder


Police found the perpetrators of the double murder motivated by blood revenge, which took place last August in Skopje, Interior Ministry announced. S.N., 23, and J.S., 34, both residents of Skopje are suspected of having murdered Branko Ivanovski, 50, and Ljupco Atanasovski, 48, on 13 August 2006 in the Skopje's District of Vlae. S.N. is subject of questioning by an investigative judge, while J.S. has been already detained in the Investigative Prison for another crime. The Police announced it has evidences to back the suspicions that S.N and J.S. shot dead Atanasovski and Ivanovski by opening fire from automatic weapon towards the vehicle the victims were in. Police said the murder was motivated by blood revenge. Last April, in an attempt to protect his wife and daughter, Ivanovski had shot dead 26-year-old Xhelil Sulejmani and wounded his 49-year-old brother Rexhep Sulejmani. Ivanovski had been sentenced to 2,5 years imprisonment, and the appeal procedure on the verdict was underway at the moment of his death.
