Macedonian state institutions begin work on Saturdays

Some of Macedonia's state institutions have begun to spend part of their weekend working, news from Skopje reported on Saturday, Xinhua informs. The government has decided that service departments from the ministries of agriculture, interior affairs, justice, public revenue, land registry and social affairs work on the first Saturday of each month.

The offices of these departments will be open from 8 o'clock in the morning, and close at 4:30 in the afternoon. "The move aims to meet the needs of working people, who thus far have been forced to take a day off in order to obtain some documents," Labor Minister Xhelal Bajrami said.
