Following Strumica, Stip and Kriva Palanka stood in the line of Macedonian towns, asking for a ‘Bulgarian visa office’ to be opened on their territory. Their argument – for the people living in Eastern Macedonia the town of Bitola, where visas for Bulgaria are issued, was too far, and this presents a problem for many of the Macedonian citizens, who are traveling to Bulgaria daily.
‘I am happy for the interest of many mayors in opening a Bulgarian office in their town, but this is hardly possible’, Miho Mihov, Bulgarian Ambassador to Macedonia said.
