MPC's relief organization opens out-patient clinic for poor

The Bitola-based humanitarian church organization Samarijan opened an out-patient clinic to help the poorest people meet healthcare needs.

The out-patient clinic, which will treat the poor people for free, is located at St Petka church. Medical staff includes four volunteer physicians available to 380 local residents from Bitola and the rural areas.

The physicians will be available on call. They will use a terrain vehicle while touring the old and sick residents to meet their health care needs, Samarijan spokeswoman Vera Blagojevic said.

The estimated value of the medical equipment ranges 5.700 euros. The money was provided by the German Embassy in co-operation with Medica Nova firm from Skopje.

Samarijan humanitarin organization functions with a blessing from Bishop Petar of Prespa-Pelagonija Diocese of the Macedonian Orthodox Church (MPC).
